As a Footwear and Accessories Designer based in Los Angeles, Emily has traveled far and wide, from China and Mexico City, to explore her creative ideas. Emily’s designs are influenced by her passion for sustainability and DIY art communities, as well as by her own Mexican-American culture.
For this workshop, we encouraged our campers to be like a professional designer. When professional designers create a product, they start with concepts and often put them on a mood board. By gathering images, materials, text, and other inspiring items, the collection as a whole will help decide on a theme or style of footwear design.
